REPORT ON ACTIVITY DONE AS PART OF PRACTICALS OF MEETING, CONFERENCE AND EVENT PLANNER (MCEP) COURSE OF ASAP FOR BATCH 2015-16

 



"A report on Arm Wrestling  competition conducted by Certificate course in Meeting Conference Event Planner students of ASAP SDC GHSS Kottila as their skill course training. "

 ACTIVITY        : ARM WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP
 PARTICIPANTS: STUDENTS OF ASAP SKILL COURSES PRESENT AT KOTTILA SKILL DEVELOPMENT CENTER.




The students of Meeting, Conference and Event Planner conducted an Arm Wrestling Championship for students of ASAP Skill courses. The Championship was named ‘Dinkan & Dinki’. The Programme Manager of GHSS Kottila Mr. Sankaran. K and Programme Manager Mr. Charles together inaugurated the championship by testing their arm power.  Mr. Raihan from Assistant Electrician Course became Mr. Dinkan and Ms. Farhana from CAT Skill course became Ms. Dinki. The winners won a total cash prize of Rupees six hundred. 
The MCEP students formed 5 committees for the conducting of the championship. The committees were namely: Operations Committee, Finance Committee, Marketing Committee, Guest Relations Committee and Public Relations Committee.
The Operations Committee were in duty of preparing posters & banners, arrangement of venue, organizing of the game, anchoring, referee of the game and registration. Thanatha, Anusree, Ashil, Afthab, Anjana, Lakshmi, Aswathi and Namitha were the members of Operations Committee.
The Finance Committee were in charge of preparing cash receipt book, fundraising and presenting report in the class. This committee included Sneha.P, Shamsudeen and Adithya. They were able to collect a sum of Rs.600 as donation from faculties and students. But the actual target was Rs.300.
The Marketing Committee were in charge of getting prior permission of the authority (i.e. Programme Manager of the SDC) for conducting of the championship, announcing about the championship in all classes and ensuring maximum participation from student’s side. This committee had the presence of Sayana, Athira, Varsha and Dhanusha.
The Guest Relations had the duty of inviting the Programme Manager and the different faculties of the skill courses to the championship. It included Dijil, Muhsina, Shifana and Sneha.T.V.
The Public Relations Committee included Navya, Thanatha and Sajir where their duty was the coverage of championship, both still and video.
The referee of the boy’s championship was Amal Ali and that of girl’s was Anusree.
The anchoring was done by Anjana and Lakshmi.

The activity gave the students hands-on experience on how to conduct an event like championship.
